Viewing your search results
Search results can include assets such as entire videos or clips, depending
the search you specified. Each result is represented by a document icon or a
still-shot image (or keyframe), an asset title, and summary text.
If your search term is found in a text track, such as a transcript or closed-caption
text, the search term is highlighted. Timecodes beside the text indicate the
occurrence of the match.
When you click to play each search result, a separate asset viewer window is
launched. From the video viewer, you can further search and navigate
within each video. To return to the the original set of results, click on
the main results page window.
From the Results page, the following actions are available to you: play,
email, view details, and
add to a playlist.
To play a search result
- Click on the asset icon or keyframe to play the result segment.
- For video, you can click on a timecode to begin playing from the query match. The
video viewer page is launched
and automatically begins
to play your video or clip, either from the beginning or from the designated point in
the timecode sequence.
To email a search result
- Click the Email link to send the asset. The email message contains
a URL pointing to the asset.
Note
If you send a link to an asset, the recipient needs access to the asset player
to view the asset. For example, if you send a link to a video, the recipient
will need the video server to play the video.
To view details
- To view more details on a particular video or clip search result,
click on the Details link. This launches the video viewer window but it does
not automatically play the video or clip.

You can collect video and clip results into a playlist to play results sequentially.
- To add search results to your playlist, check the
Add to Playlist check box.

playlist.
